Your Library at Home!

The staff at the Richmond branch library are looking forward to the day when we can open our doors once more and connect with our customers!

In the meantime, although our doors may be temporarily closed, the library is open online!  Whether staying home alone or in a full house, we have a variety of entertainment, education and virtual connection experiences to keep you comfortable.  If you are not a regular library customer, now is the time to explore what we have to offer.

Check out the Isolation Recreation portal on the website https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en for recommendations of virtual experiences for adults, teens and children.

Don’t have a library card?  Not a problem!  You can sign up for a temporary card by calling Infoservice at 613-580-2940 (Mon-Sat 10:00-5:00)

Weekly Family storytimes and Babytimes are being offered via Zoom (English, French and bilingual)

You don’t need an e-reader to access ebooks through Libby, Cloud Library or Cantook Station (French). You can use a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer!  These help guides can get you started:  https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/digital-collection-support
