Storm Rugby Season Comes To An End

The South Carleton Storm boys’ junior high school rugby season came to an end in Richmond June 14 with a 26-14 playoff loss to Sacred Heart.

The Storm led the game 13-12 at halftime, but wound up losing to the visitors from Stittsville by a 26-14 score. South Carleton only had a junior team in boys rugby this year, with hopes of developing enough players to enter a senior team for next year.

The Storm finished in third place in the Nation Capital Secondary School Athletics Association junior boys rugby standings with a 3-2 record. They posted wins over Ashbury, Sacred Heart and Cairine Wilson while suffering losses to Nepean and Glebe.
