[dropcap]J[/dropcap]Join John Curry for a special evening featuring the launch of his book on the history of Richmond called “Richmond’s Got Spirit!” this coming Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Rev. Michael Gillissie Parish Hall at St. Philip Catholic Church in Richmond.

Launching the book in this manner John hopes the evening will be a community event, not just a book signing event. There is going to be entertainment, an very abridged showing of “Richmond: The Movie,” free refreshments and displays from the Goulbourn Museum, the Richmond Legacy Pavilion Association and hopefully (to be confirmed) the Historical Society.

So drop in and enjoy the evening! While no purchase is necessary you can also purchase a book or two and have them signed by the author while enjoying free refreshments. Copies of the DVD “Richmond: The Movie” will also be available. Buying the book as well as a DVD gets you the DVD for half-price … just $5! A great idea as a Christmas gift as well as a treasure trove of historical information for every Richmond household.

If you can’t make it to the event you may purchase the book online at www.burnstownpublishing.com or by phone at 613-432-0379 or by mail at 5 Leckie Lane, Burnstown, Ontario, K0J 1G0
