It was a cool, crisp night and day with clear skies in Richmond for the 2019 Richmond Santa Claus Parade and the various celebrations going on throughout the day. Dale Greene and his team from the Richmond Lions Club were collecting donations for the Richmond Food Bank and North Gower Outreach Program. Though final totals are not yet in, it was looking like they were going to match or surpass last year’s total of $8,000 raised for this amazing initiative. The Richmond Co-operative Nursey School had a packed house for their Ginger Bread Social, the Lighting of the Lights at Richmond Memorial Park was fantastic, the Santa Claus Parade drew a large and festive crowd, and everyone warmed up at the arena after the parade with the annual free chili and soup dinner.
