submitted by Alison Tranter
[dropcap]A[/dropcap]As this September marks the 175th anniversary of Richmond Fair planning is underway to have a special show of 175 quilts and related objects. There are to important parts to participate in.
First, people are envouraged to enter their quilts into the home craft class of Richmond Fair. These quilts are judged and displayed in the home craft building during the Fair. Details of how to enter can be found at www.richmondfair.ca in the homecraft prize list section, class 90.
Second, everyone is invited to bring their quilts, new, old, family quilts etc. to be shown in the upstairs arena hall from Friday to Saturday during the fair. These quilts will not be judged but are there for all to enjoy and appreciate the stories behind these familiar items.
See the attached poster and check back at the website for details.
We would also appreciate any persons able to help with this project… quilter or not, we have jobs for all!
