Informing and engaging area residents

Community Information Session: May 8th – Western Development Lands update

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]The purpose of the meeting is to inform the community on a broad range of current development topics as outlined in the notice below.

In addition, readers are advised that the City is in receipt of a complete application to extend and make minor amendments to the plan of subdivision and zoning by-law for the Richmond Village North and South Developments subdivision (known as Caivan or Fox Run).  The proposal would see some changes to the local internal streets and adding rear lane townhouses to the permitted uses, along with an extension of draft plan approval of the subdivison.

The revisions would see the total unit count increase by 21 units to 771. Over 220 are registered as part of Phase 1 of the subdivision. Rear lane townhouses are now proposed north side of Perth with other blocks in that area slated for street townhouses. Some modifications are also proposed to the local street layout north and south of Perth Street to accommodate the changes.

The proposed changes are open for comment until May 24th. Complete documents may be found on the City Website development app at the following links:

Come to the meeting, learn more about this proposal and the many other development activities now underway in Richmond.
